Job brief

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic international Business Development Manager to help us expand in the energy & utilities market. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.

The initial focus of the role will be the European market. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.


  • Develop a growth strategy
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote Aplines software as a service (SaaS) addressing or predicting clients’ objectives to reduce TOTEX and improve the performance of their operation
  • Build an effective go to market strategy through an ecosystem of partners
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  • Work with the digital marketing team on focused campaigns
  • Own the entire sales process: Generate leads, manage stakeholders, identify compelling reasons to act, close deals
  • Attend face-to-face meetings with clients, prepare commercial proposals and negotiate with stakeholders
  • Be the voice of the customer. Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients


  • Proven work experience as a business development manager, sales executive or other relevant role in an international setting
  • Adaptable and willing to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven sales track record in B2B and negotiation
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Utilities market knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to build rapport, empathy
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
